Spinning What?

So today I decided I'd better dust off my spinning bike that had been hidden in the corner of the office for who knows how long. I dragged it into the bedroom and parked it right beside my bed and in front of the TV, there's no excuses now.

Believe it or not there was a time where I actually wanted to teach spinning classes. I worked at a Gym, I worked out all the time and I loved spinning! That year my parents got me this bike for my birthday. Since we moved to our current house, I've spent a lot more time outside on the trails and taking advantage of the outdoors. Now that I have Griffin and I'm running outside almost daily I wanted to mix in something different that I could do indoors while watching my TV shows... Real Housewives anyone?

So this was long overdue, my first spinning workout in over a year took place this afternoon. It's been so long since I was on it that it felt totally foreign. Despite all the running I've been doing as I cranked up the wheel my legs were burning very early on. I did it for about 30 minutes followed by the Nike Training Club app. This evening I went for a 5k run around the neighborhood and now I'm exhausted! Better rest up for Work it Out Wednesday.
