It has officially been 1 month since the
Surrey Marathon.

I am definitely feeling recovered at this point but I still have yet to do another race. That all changes this Sunday. I am signed up for a local half marathon and I have to say even though it's "just" a half, I am really nervous. My running hasn't been very strong this past month, I had hoped to improve my speed and I have been doing some speed training, though not very consistently. My other concern is that I'm feeling unsure of how far to push myself because I have the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon the following weekend. This shouldn't be an issue as I've done several back to back race weekends this year, but still there are still butterflies...

I feel like this race will help me get my running stride back, I so desperately need it back! I needed the break after the marathon but now it is definitely time to get back in gear and start making some serious plans for 2014.
Have you made a 2014 race schedule yet? What's the most exciting race you have coming up?
I have Disney World and Tinkerbell set for January, but beyond that, I just don't know what to do. I'm trying to decide if I want to do a full in 2014. Maybe I need to get a calendar so I can start filling in boxes!

ReplyDeleteI have scheduled a few races for 2014. So far 1 marathons and a 100 mile ultra, which is definitely what I'm looking forward to the most!
