February Goals Recap & March Goals
February:
1. Get up earlier.
This isn't happening, but as it turns out I think I am more productive at night anyway. I need to find a way to balance the two. We get up at 7:00am every morning anyway, why is it I need to get up so much earlier again?
2. Strength Training
I've successfully integrate P90x into my running routine and overall I'm feeling a lot stronger. However, this week everything will be on hold until I get my foot issue sorted out.
3. Read at least 3 books.
I only read 2: Labor Day and Thirteen Reasons Why. I think that short month really got to me!
4. Run 180km.
I really liked the idea of having a mileage goal, but unfortunately with nearly a week with no running due to the stomach flu I didn't meet my goal. I'll be retrying this one.
March:
1. Drink more water.
I neglect to drink enough water often and I always feel better when I do. My goal will be 2.2L every day.
2. Find some new methods for preventing injuries.
Particularly applicable at the moment but definitely beneficial long term.
3. Run 180km.
I want to do this one again but it really is dependent on my current foot situation, so we will see how things go at the Dr.'s and after the marathon.
4. Try at least 4 new recipes.
I've been stuck in the same old routine for a while and I want to mix it up with our family dinners.

Feb was kind of a downer month for a lot of people I’ve talked to. Darn short month, not enough time to make it great! Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteYea something was going around in February... More positive thoughts for March!
DeleteI hear ya! I was sick for a week and it threw my running goals off a bit. I'm impressed you read 2 books though! I'm just trying to get myself to read anything. I had the same book sitting on my nightstand for months; I finally returned it to the library. I've got kindle subscriptions to a couple magazines and I'm trying to actually read them these days.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I can't get into reading magazines on the iPad yet, I love to look at the pictures and the graphics in print!
DeleteI haven't had the greatest 2014 yet but I am hoping that March turns it around!! I am trying to drink more water this month too!!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping March is YOUR month! It's tough to up the water intake but totally worth it!
DeleteI give up trying to set mileage goals this winter :) One of my goals is to drink more water too. I need more sleep too.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine trying to get the mileage in with your weather. I'm new to mileage goals, hopefully I can get these foot issues sorted out and reach my goal!
DeleteI hope all is good with your foot!! Thinking about you girlie!
ReplyDeleteFor March I really need to make foam rolling happen again, plus I'd really like to finish one book. Best of luck this month!
Thanks Leana, it's coming along much slower than I would like, but it's out of my hands.
DeleteFoam rolling is a great goal, I think if I had been more diligent about that I probably wouldn't be in this situation right now. Good luck with March :)
