I'm running my half marathon on October 17th and getting hitched on November 13th! So I'm sorry if I've been slacking on the blogging and you've been waiting ever so patiently for a new post but I've been busy -- Moving, Running, & Planning a Wedding all at the same time!
The fact that I'll be wearing a wedding dress in 4.5 months and getting married in Los Cabos has given me new inspiration to run and be healthier!
Speaking of running, I've had to take it indoors at least for the majority of the week because the weather has been so hot. I've moved to Fort Langley which means saying goodbye to the windy seawall, there's a beautiful trail here but its much warmer in the valley. Which means I've reacquainted myself with the treadmill, very different kind of running but it has been good. It's more controlled, but that also means my outdoor training is limited, which is of course where I will be running my half marathon. Once a week I attend a GTS (Group Training Session) in Cloverdale with Team in Training. Last week there was a monster hill in our training session, and I actually thought it would never end... it did, but it was a painful reminder that there are A LOT of hills in San Francisco and I really need to work on that. The good news is I'm starting to be able to more comfortably run longer distances which is definitely important, no where near 21km yet, but I'll get there.
If you haven't already sponsored me, please do! I need more help getting to my goal and making it to October. If you can't sponsor me perhaps you can give me some music suggestions, these are some of the songs that I've been listening to while running recently:
You Make My Dreams by Hall n Oates
Stronger by Kanye West
California Gurls by Kate Perry
I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas
Hey, Soul Sister by Train
All These Things That I've Done by the Killers
Shake it by Metro Station
The Difference by the Wallflowers
I need more!!! My music is getting old fast, please post suggestions on this page or the FaceBook group page!
