If you're looking for a race report on the Golden Ears Half Marathon, you won't find one, I had to make a really tough decision on Sunday, you can read about that here. My good friend, Nikki completed the race and had a great time.
WE are down to less than 48 hours to get all my stuff together and get on that plane to New York City!
Here's the thing, I'm still sick :(. I feel like today it might be finally turning around but it really is a slow process. With all the running I've done over the past year I haven't really been getting sick very often, I'm going to be honest, I forgot what it was like and it totally sucks.
I've done my best to rest and take it easy and not think about the race so I can get healthy but I've run out of time -- I've got errands, packing, laundry and maybe just maybe, a run tomorrow?!
I can't believe that quite possibly the biggest race of the year is just a few days away. Thank you everyone for your support on twitter/the blog over the last few days while I've been dealing with this setback.
This will probably be the last post before I leave since there's no packing done. I hope to update throughout the trip, I'll have my iPad so I'll have some basic blog functionality.
